From 2 to 6 of July took place in South Korea the 10th World Taekwon-Do Festival, with more than 60 nations participating in both WTF and ITF competitions.

The spanish delegation was formed by Sabomnim Fernando Pérez, VI Degree, and Sabom Leonardo Monreal, III Degree, whom traveled to Cheongju, the host city of this Championship.

Its important to remark the outstanding organization and media coverage. All competitors were hosted at the University campus, 10 minutes from the Sport Hall. Full board, native interpreters, bus transfers, etc... There were also fireworks, and a very high level of competititon.

The spanish representative won 2 bronze medals, and had an excelent performance.

There was also a special night gala, with competitors from ITF against MMA (Mixed Martial Arts).

The final result was a tie, as 3 won from TKD ITF and other 3 won from MMA.

After this experience, the members of ITF Spain came home to keep on training hard and looking forward for the next events.
