On April 26 took part at La Mina Sport Complex the Catalunya Championship 2008, in Barcelona. It was organized by Barcelona Taekwondo Center and fiscalized by ITF of Spain.

In this edition, the event was very special, because it was the qualifier edition for black belts who are willing to take part in international tournaments.

The trials (from red belt and more) counted with great competitors as champions Gaston Latorre, sub champion Gabriel Leske, the national team members Christian Oriolani, Francisco Espeche, Mariano Molina, world class competitors Gustavo Oyarzo, Javier Seoane, Ricardo Rodríguez, Leonardo Monreal y Carlos Berkenbusch who added an extra point of quality to the event.

There were in total 150 competitors, showing a great organization, with very high technical level.

The overall resultas were as follows:

1º Puesto – Escuela Instructor Mariano Molina

2º Puesto – Escuela Instructor Gustavo Oyarzo

3º Puesto – Escuela Instructor Leonardo Monreal

We want to thank the colaboration of all the umpires and officials who worked hard for the success of the tournament, which was a real celebration of Taekwon-do ITF.
